Ex-power minister jailed for 9 years |

Former state minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku was jailed for nine years for amassing illegal wealth beyond his known sources of income.
M Ashraf Hossain, the judge of the special judge’s court 5 of Dhaka, also fined him Tk 50 lakh and ordered to serve one more year in jail in case of failure to pay the fine.
The court also ordered confiscation of his wealth of Tk 2.23 crore.
