Addressing as chief guest a two-day conference of senior editors of SAARC countries on 'Media Reporting Armed Conflict and Violence' at a local hotel in the city, the Adviser said if arrogance of military could be kept in check, the UN's collective power could be best used for avoiding dangerous conflicts.

Abducted schoolboy found murdered

Rapid Action Battalion members Saturday recovered the decomposed body of Injamul Haque Suman, 12, a class six student of Uttara Chisty Central School and College, who remained missing since October 17.

Police said Khandaker Delwar along with a number of BNP central leaders coming from Dhaka were intercepted at Lal Bazar, five kilometres from the city, at 12 noon.

Najmul Alam Nobin "After the reopening of the halls after about two months, it took long five hours for me to clean my dusty room but still the smell of dust does not disappear," Suman a resident of Surya Sen Hall said this yesterday while describing his experience on the campus. The students of different halls of the Dhaka University were seen cleaning their rooms to make the rooms livable after the halls were vacated by the government following a three-day violence on the campus in August. The rooms of the students of different dorms were dusty and hard to clean, as those rooms got very much smelly.
